We are getting ready to play our first show in over 6 months. The show is aug.15th at Union, we are excited about it, a little nervous, because we have all new equipment and getting more intrerested in using software on a laptop, instead of carrying around 1,000 synth's everywhere we play.We are learning how to use all of this stuff, and so far it is sounding pretty good, we will need some last minute adjustments on a few songs, but other than that we will be ready to play. It is very hard for us to write songs as easily as it was before, when we first started we had a band, bass, guitar,synth, etc. Now that we it's only two of us, we had to learn midi,and buy new gear to work with midi, and now we are just getting nto using fruity loops and a laptop, which seems to be exactly what we wanted (sound-wise).Only thing is, we don't have enough time or the know how, to play the entire set on a laptop, though eventually, this is what we want to do.So be warned, the set will sound decent, maybe even really good to people that have never heard the songs, but for us, we know we can do better, and with our new found friend (fruity loops) we will soon get there. see ya at the show! -Das
