This is a benefit for Siegel High School's Rock Club, a student organization that encourages young people to seek out new music and expand their musical knowledge. The club meets weekly to critique music of different genres and is raising funds toward a field trip to the Stax Museum in Memphis.

On Saturday May 24th, Music City Arts tv9 will hold a live, on-air telethon from
noon to midnight. The goal of the day is to raise funds for satellite upgrades.
These upgrades are necessary for acquiring better satellite feeds, more diverse
programming, and to send our signal to other channels.
One of these satellite channels we'd like to carry is SCOLA. SCOLA provides six
channels of 24 hrs a day original programming from over 100 different countries.
All of these shows are shown in their native languages. Subscribing to SCOLA
also entitles every K-12 student in Davidson County, public and private, to a
SCOLA membership. This means free access to SCOLA educational materials in the
classroom and online. There are several channels like this that are available at
a free to nominal charge - they just necessitate adequate satellite equipment.
