Greetings from Pensacola Florida.

It is now 3:00 a.m. which means the new album has officially been out for a good three hours. Now the real work begins. I’ve got a bunch of Borders in-store performances coming up, most of them on the same days as some of the tour dates, which means double the work! After the Austin date I’ll be driving up to Arkansas so Kelly and I can fly up to New York to do the CBS Early Show on the 22nd. Then we’ll be flying back that same day to get back for the Arkansas show that night.

It’s hard to believe it’s almost been three years since I last released an album of entirely new music. Most of the songs on "Brighter Side" are already two years old now anyway! So much has happened since the last album and so much more is to follow. Flying, driving, performing, etc... I’ve become callused from all the work and completely running on adrenaline at the moment. I don’t think anybody will ever know how much Kelly and I really do to keep this thing going.

But the big day is here, so thanks to anybody who’s already bought the record through the website, thanks to anyone who is going to make it the first thing they go buy today, and thanks to anyone who gets it off iTunes digitally. Please encourage your friends to buy it and support my career.

Have you ever scratched off a lottery card and won, just to find yourself trading in your winnings for another card? Then lets say you win again, but something tells you to take those winnings and risk it all for another try? That’s where I’m at right now. I’ve been winning for a while and am putting everything I’ve got on black (so to speak). So here we go, wish me luck!
