On New Year's eve, I wrote the first poem/song of 2008. The following is a poem I wrote this week.

"January's over,
But you just begin
 to unfold like a flower,
Petal after petal,
You are sprouting wings!

One angelic moment after another,
You react so tender,
Yet your palms,
Those strong props with an added calm,
Quite like a flower,
                          So you support me,
                While blossoming unlike any other!!

You step up onto February,
You stand against its winds,
You vow to get to Spring
 just by being a wondrous spring yourself!

You venture through the stars,
You come down with the rain,
You vie for the best ray of the sun,
While thinking of me and my dying self…

January's over,
But I just begin

Quite like a flower,
                          So I support you,
                 While rhyming with no other!!

I am coming out of the slumber,
(I am coming out of December),
I stood against its winds,
(I stood against its winter ends),
I vowed to get to Spring
 just by believing in a wondrous spring like yourself!

I am venturing through the stars,
Coming down with the rain,
I vie for the best ray of the sun,
While thinking of you and your rising self…

I meet you in midair,
I dance with you, getting lost in your flair!

We leap through time and reasons,
We land with love on other seasons!

I'm taking a stand:
I'll stand by you,
            I have decided!!
