Current mood:  adventurous
In English, my teacher asked us to fill in the blank.

While everyone else filled in the blank with the sophisticated word "perfect", I filled in my blank with "pizza".

When
you practice, you are building up your skills - just like a pizza. The
longer you make a pizza, the more toppings you'll have on that dough.
The longer you practice, the more skills and tricks you'll have. When
you have finally finished putting the toppings on the pizza, you have
detailed the pizza to your likings. You finally bake the pizza; you are
putting your skills to the test.

You must make sure you have put
enough time and effort into making this pizza, just like you must put
enough time and effort into practicing. For example, you can't make a
cheese pizza and not put the cheese on.

Reaping the benefits of
practicing is like when you eat the pizza. The rewards of your hard
work, or the taste of the pizza, tells you how much you practiced.

From
there, it becomes trial and error. If you don't like the flavor, or if
the pizza is not savory enough, that means you need to keep practicing
until you have mastered the pizza making.

Once you have
practiced making one pizza, it is time to make a different pizza - once
you have mastered what you have been practicing for, it is time to move
on.

Master something, pass it along. Allow others to pass along their skills and ideas, and try it out.

The possibilities are endless.

Credits go out to Rachel P of LUXLIVIN.

One of the wisest things I have ever learned is this:

"Practice does not make perfect.  Practice makes permanent."
-Dai Vernon

So just as you should devote time to practice, devote even more time to practicing the right thing, the right way.
