Saw Duncan Sheik the other night at the Aladdin theater. One of my favorite artists. I can seem to fill up on inspiration through listening to his beautiful lyrics and music.
I also realized again that he truly has one of the best male voices I have ever heard. IT seems to get stronger and more powerful every year. Every note he sings has purpose.

I've been recording a couple new songs lately and have been hiking a lot. Every time I go out on a hike I wish I had a little cabin in the woods or a beach/lake front house to lock all the doors and just enjoy the silence. Bring my recording equipment, practice my guitar every day and drinks copius amounts of coffee (preferably my friend Matt's coffee) He roasts raw beans himself. I thought I had tasted good coffee before in my life but I definitely had not. yum.

ink flames the mood
dark inside the flame
perhaps while I wait here
