every now and then i am walking up to my office and see these guys with big machine guns outside. the first time i saw it i got all freaked out. i went into the office and told my boss and he said i was crazy... that is until when we were both on our way to the train while low-and-behold the big gun dudes where there. my boss made me take the ACE train instead of my trusty NRW since all the gun guys where around there. i've gotten pretty used to it -- i mean, you see one big dude with a semi-automatic machine gun on the street and you've seen 'em all, right?
in an effort to document the strange happenings of my day, i thought i would take a pic of the big guns.
the big guns outside of the levi's store on lexi had to take it around the corner bc i was afraid they would yell at me. what's funny is that just around the corner basically across from the hampton jitney stop. the whole hampton jitney crowd deserves a blog posting all their own. it's totally funny to see this long line of people trying to escape the city. the women carry those ridiculous quilted bags that they think can pass as luggage and the men have suits and flip flops on. so as i was taking this pic a hampton-bound older blonde asked me in her seriously long island accent, 'what are thdose guys doing heeere? do you think they could be here for the jitney?' i had to laugh. they definitely weren't there for the jitney. but judging from the amount of diamonds this lady and her friends had one, maybe they were. more likely though bloomberg decided to go to work that day.
