Current mood: sleepy Category: News and Politics
so, i had my first band practice with Chris and Jon yesterday. I didn't quite know what to expect and it turns out that....they are a hard core punk band. Not quite a style that I have worked with before, but I definitely like it, and i dig their politically motivated lyrics. Excited to work with them. In other music news, I signed up for guitar lessons at El Rey this morning and then later on at good ol' Applebee's, I met two dudes who are in a rock band and we are going to get together for some open mics sometime. super thrilled. In other news there is a gargantuan florescent stain on our white carpet. Someone had a little too much Essn and Vodka, oh yeah, followed by tequila shot chasers last night. No, I am not referring to myself. Good thing Ang and I went to bed before the pukinators took over the living room because that left other people to clean up the majority of the mess. haha. suckers. The other night I saw my friend John from Bradley/Maine South who moved to Colorado. It was quite cool to see an old friend. Other than that, just trying to figure out when i'm going to Canada to visit a Canadian friend who is in town from Japan. He was one of the lead guitarists in Chocolate, one of the bands I worked with in Japan. And.. crossing my fingers that I got the beginning of next week off so that I can go to Indiana. Never thought I would say this, but I am really looking forward to going to Indiana. Love it there. I WAS wrong to assume that all people from Indiana are like my crazy relatives. I'm pooped, and I need to go to bed, but I have my stupid Japanese homework haunting me....
