I was actually inspired to write this after looking at a website on Aromatherapy which I found really interesting.

I've been a proponent of aromatherapy products for decades.

I have to admit that my journey started when I was trying to impress a new beau with dinner at my place, and I read how scented candles heightened the ambience and inspired romance.

That was decidedly a very good reason to investigate this further, wouldn't you agree?

I mean, this was high on my Hierarchy of Values, then.

Aromatherapy is a branch of the natural therapies and helps restore and enhance well being, health, and beauty.

Not only do the essential oils work on the physical body but they calm or stimulate the emotions, and support the respiratory, nervous and immune systems

Good quality oils are extracted from different parts of the plant, such as flowers, leaves, seeds, resin and wood.

I tend to burn essential oils in my oil burner on a daily basis to enhance my two brains' functionalities.

Apart from placing drops in an oil burner, I apply drops to my skin and when the bottle is empty, I still inhale from the bottle till the scent expires

My three favourites for day use are Cypress, Juniper and Rosemary, they do the trick when I need my brains to be in top form to write posts, eBooks, design courses, copy, emails, do audios, and videos.

Remember, the olfactory receptor goes directly to the brain and is the quickest worker of all the five senses.

If you haven't read it, read my previous article on the Olfactory sensory receptor.

In addition, I often listen to the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the Austrian composer born in Salzburg, whose music directly affects the alpha brain waves, again for the 2 hemispheres' optimum operation.

To unwind after a stimulating and exciting day's work, I use Bergamot and Tasmanian Blackboy Rose.

These are not the only ones by any means; these are my personal favourites.

Well, there you have it, my secret for brain optimization is out :-)

Try it, you'll be amazed with the results.

What better time to indulge in some aromatherapy than on St. Valentine's Day.

Love and Blessings,

Gloria
