After taking home our guitar/click tracks that set the tempo for the record, we found that some parts were too slow, not lending the same energy the songs had when playing live.  It seemed like we were starting to adapt more to these click tempos then having the click tempos adapt to us, if that makes any sense. I was worried that we were going to spend another day perfecting tempos and set the drum tracking back another week, but we were able to bend these guitar tracks to whatever tempo we needed them, the problem was corrected faster then i could of thought. The drums were set up the night before to save time, and Craig was ready to deliver. We tracked the first two songs with the least amount of tempo changes before taking a small break to grab some pizza from the village takeout in Kennebunk....so we gotta give them credit for filling the void, we recommend the buffalo chicken pizza, apparently that shit is like putting gas in a car for Craig! I was looking at the clock and realizing we had 5 more drum tracks to nail down. That being said, Craig executed all the songs with only one or two takes each. There was a lot of concentration and focus filling the room and it seemed like only minutes before we were looking at each other saying wow....drum tracks for the new CD are finished! We feel like our friends and fans will be more than happy with the sound of the drums on this record and the improvements we have made since the last release. Now with some editing, we will be adding bass next, stay tuned, I'll let you all know how that goes.....and thanks for taking the time to see how things are coming along on the new record...we are looking forward to seeing everyone this summer!
