July 4, 2009 - Saturday
To the friends and potential room mates of honeyhoney,

I write you now from marvelous Milwaukee, enduring one of the worst hangover's of my existence...  ya know... I really had a great stride going with the 6-7 Miller lite's and the occasional Jack Daniels shot and I would have been fine if that pizza I ordered at the bar would have shown up... but as luck would have it, the pizza was a no show and my spew runneth over as a result... oh yes...  Pepe la puke...

The events leading up to barf town however, were really great.  We played at the Summerfest festival (our first big festival EVER!!)  right before Matisyahu, which was awesome and interesting. ( call me crazy but i think he's a hottie...) It's funny where we end up sometimes in the music line ups.. sandwiched between reggae bands, rappers, and children's music.... soooo weird..
The show itself was kind of a doozer, due to some onstage sound issues and an UGLY BROWN SPIDER that descended from the lighting and crawled down my arm during the middle of Sugarcane!!  ahhh!!...  but like a true huntress of the rock-n-wild, i flicked it off my forearm and killed it during the chorus... (sorry Buddha)

Ben and I were able to eat ridiculous amounts of festival food and catch a few shows, such as Guster and Judas Priest...  craziness...  We also had a chance to catch up with our fellow "tour sugar daddy" Gavin DeGraw, and his sexified crew who we love so much.  It's awesome..  festivals are kind of like little rock-n-roll family reunions.  There's lots of food and drink and celebration, and we're like those two weird close talker kind of cousins that everyone's not quite sure how we're related to them, or why they find us slightly attractive.

Anyway.... we are off to Chicago for the 4th of July and for nearly a week...  Anybody have any suggestions of fun and exciting activities or pottery classes we should involve ourselves in??  holla back

good morning, good afternoon and goodnight,

Love,
Suzanne Drunkasuosso

Definitely run around Chicago dressed as Batman and Robin, climbing buildings and trees and making sure people abide by the law.

The best thing about Chicago is always the view.............

Until you get hungry.  Steer clear of the chains.  Eat at the little shops.  Chicago food just rules.  No matter what you're in the mood for, Chicago has the best that you'll ever taste.  (If you can find them.)

Take taxi cabs everywhere.

Miller--eekkk!  I'm a Blue person, Labatt's Blue that is.  If I remember right, there's a great little Chinese eatery on the south side of Chicago. It's not far from the big truck stop. There was a neat little comic book store close by, too.  It's been a long time since I was in "ShiTown" and I never missed an opportunity to leave as soon as possible!!  Hope you and Ben are enjoying the holiday, hangover aside!!  Cheers!
Best wishes to you and all your relations, Karen in Cherokee NC.

Check out Schuba's for a good beer, which is a great venue to play at (ask employees for details). Also, Hot Doug's, which I heard you get great food at with great service (even though a Food Network show featured it, so it's "popular" now! Take it from a kid from the Southside who's endorsing Northside places...

Suzanne, Suzanne...you poor baby girl...
Anyhow, I can't recall anything about Chicago except American Girl Place, cause we played there when the girls were little.
I also wanted to tell you that I'm on tour right now, and drove from Boston to New Mexico over the past four days.  Saw the JESUS on billboards AND the Triple-X bookstores and thought of you!
Hugs....
Judy
