Today we are introducing our new Twenty Question Tuesday Blog, where we get an inside view into some of our favorite writers. I’ve had the pleasure of reading most of Bronwyn Green’s books, she’s a wonderful writer and a very kind person. So when I decided to start this weekly segment of Manic Readers Myspace, I posted invitations on several author boards. I was greatly pleased when Bronwyn accepted and, since she has a new release coming soon decided to make her my first victim…um Guest. So I am proud to introduce the Spectacular Bronwyn Green.
Multi-Published author Bronwyn Green has 11 books out with three publishers, Ellora’s Cave, Resplendence and Total-E Bound. She writes M/F erotic romances that run the gamut from contemporary to historical with hot teachers and cops, spunky women and witches. Bronwyn lives in Michigan with her wonderful husband, two amazing sons and five somewhat-psychotic cats. When not tormenting her characters, she can usually be found helping with reading and writing projects in her sons' classrooms as well as providing child care and tutoring for several daycare children. Besides writing, she also enjoys reading, knitting, sewing, cross stitching, pottery, drawing - basically anything that helps her avoid cleaning and cooking.

1. When did you start writing? I've written for as long as I can remember, but I didn't really start writing toward publication until seven or eight years ago.
2. When were you first published? March 30th, 2007.
3. What did you do when you got your first Acceptance Letter?
Shrieked loudly and scared the crap out of my kids then called Brynn Paulin and my husband.
4.Do you have a favorite genre to write in? (ie. Historical, Paranormal, Fantasy) If yes Which and Why?
Although I write the occasional straight contemporary or historical, paranormal is my favorite. I love mixing the magical with the mundane.
5. Do you do a lot of research or is it mostly imagination?
I'd say it's probably about half and half depending on what I'm writing. I took a ten week citizens police academy course as research for my books that have involved cops. The course was a blast. I also do a fair amount of internet research and personal interviews.
6. Are you a "plotter" or a "pantser"? Definitely a pantser - much to my frustration. at times.
7. What authors influence your writing? Charles deLint, Marion Zimmer Bradley, Suzanne Brockmann, Brynn Paulin, Mia Watts and Jennifer Armintrout.
8. Can you write anywhere or do you need your "space"?I have a beautiful office - I absolutely love it, but I rarely use it. Mostly, I sit on the corner of my couch and work from there so I'm available for my family.
9. I see that many writers listen to custom soundtracks while writing Do you and why? Absolutely. For me, music is the easiest way to set the mood and keep my head in the story.
10. Do you ever read a story and get the urge to rewrite it?
Sometimes - but usually if I'm not enjoying a book, I just won't finish
it. However, I have read books that I've loved so much, I wish I had
written them - lol!
11 If you could have one of you books turned into a movie would you? Why or Why not? Who wouldn't - lol! I'd love to see a director's and actors' take on the story.
11A. If yes which one? I think Handcuffs and Lies would make a great movie.
12. If you could co-write a book with the author of your choice (living or dead) Who would it be and why? Honestly, I can't imagine writing a book with anyone - it sounds really stressful to me. ;)
13. Do you write on a set schedule or whenever you get a chance?
Whenever I get a chance. Like most people, my life is crazy-busy, so I fit it in whenever I get a chance.
14. If you hit the MegaBall Lotto tomorrow would you still write?
Definitely!
15. What is your favorite writing beverage? Coke - all the way.
16. What do you do when you're stuck on a scene? (Walk away, reread what you've written, keep trying). Reread what I've written and talk to some of my writer friends.
17. Do you write primarily for Electronic publishers or Print and Why? At this point; electronic publishers. I really like the immediacy of e-publishing. I don't, however, care for the piracy that comes along with it.
18. What is your biggest pet peeve about writing (ie. edits, query
letters, reviews, writers block) and why?Writing blurbs and taglines - I have a really hard time boiling a story down to a few lines.
19. Do you have anything new coming out soon?
I do! Cuffed and Dangerous (a shifter menage) is coming out on November 3rd from Resplendence Publishing and Just Right (my take on Goldilocks) is coming out on January 19th 2010, also from RP.
20. Anything Else you want to share? I'll be giving away a print copy of my anthology Magic's Embrace, which contains all three of my Torrid Tarot novellas. All you need to do to enter is drop me an email and tell me that you'd like to put your name into the proverbial hat.
