This just really irked me to no end.  I have known this friend for years, and this is what happens

He calls me from out of town and is looking for a pretty expensive item.  None of my distributors carry it, so I did a lot of research and spent time to set up an account directly with this manufacturer.  I get it set up, and get pricing on this beast of a purchase.  Let's just call the price "X" to mean my cost for now.

I call my buddy, and tell him that these parts will cost him X plus a small percentage, which is far less than what the manufacturer sells the parts for to the public.  He tells me that he called the manufacturer and they quoted him less than my cost!

I immediately call the company to see what he was quoted exactly, and it was nowhere near what he told me.  This so called friend was flat out lying about the pricing he was getting in order to get me to sell it to him for less than my cost.

Well, the company knows about this little ruse, and after a lot of yelling by me that they were doing unethical business practices (and looking like an idiot), they found the quote my buddy has and I was still giving him a MUCH better deal.

Some friend...just another aquaintance that wants to use me as much as possible.  Can't WAIT for him to call back and see what I am going to quote him now!
