What I learned from being a vegetarian for a month: - Fried tofu goes well in pad thai. And not all that much else. - Resisting the urge to eat meat wasn't that big of a sacrifice unless I was drunk on an empty stomach after performing at a Click Five show and my girlfriend ordered cheeseburger sliders. In that moment, I'm pretty sure I would have stabbed, dressed, and consumed an entire raw buffalo in about 12 minutes. - I eat a lot of vegetables normally. So the switch was relatively easy. - The switch back was even easier. I ate a bacon cheeseburger at Wild Willy's in Watertown last night and it was delicious. An almost religious experience. - Now, I'm wondering "What meat will I eat today? Pork? Chicken? Perhaps the most dangerous game of all... hippie? - Scamper reunion April 18 at the Middle East Downstairs. That one had nothing to do with the vegetarianism. I just thought I'd start pimping now.
