Jersey

So, I'm taking the family here to meet some more of my family back East from the 11th to 18th.
Are there any punk clubs near Ye Olde Historic Towne Of Smithville New Jersey?
Or shows for that matter?
The plan is to land in Philly and stock up on Gianna's Grill subs for the week, then hopefully visit Storybook Land and try to catch an Uncle Floyd apearance, not to mention Lucy The Elephant and The Great Adventure Land Rover Tour.

.Physics

There's an Aspects of Physics show on the 10th at the Beauty Bar here in San Diego with The Followers that should be fun.
In fact, it looks like Physics might be getting back together in light of the Nuerot re-issues which would intail some touring and the possiblity of making the "GREAT UNRECORDED PHYSICS ALBUM".
You see, all our best stuff, the stuff we toured on and got down to perfection, never got recorded, other than the odd live boot or whatever, and it's been a great burning desire to finally get it "out there".

Thingy - Morbid Curiousity

Unfortunately it's only ONE of my great white whales, another of which is the 3rd Thingy album, but guess what?
I'm honestly almost FINISHED IT!
Once agian I unearthed all the original drums, which required extensive editing due to thier origins.
Then, i re-re-re-re-recorded the guitars using a Palmer adig-lb which means I finally have the sound of my REAL Mesa Boogie without having to use bullshit plug-ins or Pods (although i love em sometimes).
Then I was the honor of bieng third person to try to record the bass on this particular album, but the first to actually finish.
Now I'm dealing with the dillema of unsynched vocals which I'm trying to tackle as organically as possible.
after that, all thats left is the mixing.
and the art.

Spiders

So I was cleaning out the back yard, 'cause their gonna tent the house for termites while we're gone and I have one of those plastic sheds, but it MELTED and all my old zines, papers, and cassettes (demos, 4-tracks, and dats) fell out everywhere and then got rained on.
I got bit by something and my pinky has been blown up for almost two weeks.
Also, the other day I pick something up and a messa big Red Widows (Latro..us bishopi) ran out.
The are supposed to just live in Florida and are super poionous.
"The muscle spasms are permanent, (at least my case) reoccurring several times a year for several minutes at a time-J. Hollenbeck."
Fuck That!

History Of San Diego Rock DJ Night at the Whistle Stop June 23rd

I'm one of the DJ's for this thing on the 23rd and it's one of the reasons I've been diving through those boxes out back for people's old demo tapes so you might as well call it Hipster Blackmail Night and NO ONE is innocent (not that i consider myself or any of my friends or the bands i like/liked around town "hipsters").
Last I heard some other DJ's are Justin Pierson (Locust/Struggle) and Bob Barley (Neighborhood Watch/Tit Wrench/Vinyl Communications).
Should be fun.

RRCIII

Oh Yeah!
I just launched this!

Robert - Number one, you need an intern. Or two. I bet there are a thousand bright, funny, nice college kids out there that would love to help you keep your life organized. Cuz bro, you need it! ;)

Second, if I visit can I perform with Robert the Third? I bet we'll make the best song ever made.....

Ever.

Say hi.

LOL that's the fucking cutest thing I've ever seen. I like how 'going outside' is listed as an influence.

Rob, I really want to mix some album of yours sometime or maybe just get ahold of some tracks to screw around with. You could totally realistically just completely miss this comment, so the awkwardness of it being an impractical idea is a non issue, there is no obligation.
I could get you a combination of the classic Hugh Padgam sound and a sort of dry 70s rock sound, but with modern consistency and clarity.
I am aware that you do a perfectly good job by yourself.

Please finish the incomplete stuff and get it to us and good luck getting rid of the pests and take care!

i had a similar experience with nonnative spiders. the woodlouse spider of the UK, i believe, has been all over my place in chicago. they're also red, but very "thick," and coincidentally eat termites.
so, i guess it's too bad you don't have those out there instead.

as far as physics, that sounds great. i found that 2 track live boot in a little philly record store just recently, and would love (as i'm sure the rest of your fans would) to hear the bulk of that outfit's work.

crazy jersey. it murdered my car a couple weeks ago.

Great news about Thingy, and of course a Physics album would be grand. But what, if I may inquire, is happening with OY in Hi-Fi ? Now that's a record I'm really looking forward to.

Storybook Land rules! Take my kid there each year. And what? No visit to Lake Pine?! You could've taken the family by your old house and Medford Memorial School, where you jammed your first performance before an audience at the Talent Show! Fantasma still rules! STRIKE BACK!
