WOLVERINES!!!!

Yeah, you know it.  It's hard to deny the seminal war cry from one of the most anti-Soviet movies of the 1980's.

WOLVERINES!!!!

Fuckin- A right, wolverines.

But even if you haven't seen Red Dawn, you're probably aware of it.  You know that it's that movie with Patrick Swayze and Charlie Sheen that has a bunch of high school kids using guerrilla warfare to fight off a bunch of invading Soviets.  It's 100% Pure American Awesome.  Just the right mixture of patriotism, propaganda, and Patrick Swayze.

Combine that movie with Rocky IV and you have the ultimate double dose of Americans Kicking Russian Ass.  Only in Ronald Reagan's wildest dreams could he imagine stirring up as much pro-American sentiment as those movies do.  One could argue that the 1980's was the decade in which anti-Soviet sentiment was at its peak.  Not during McCarthyism, not during Vietnam, or the Space Race.  In the 1980's we had a Maverick-like President, we had G.I. Joe, and we had Sly Stallone, Patrick Swayze, and numerous other action heroes kicking major Ruskie ass.  Oh man, those were the days.....

.... so 20 years later what the fuck happened?  What happened to all that Pro-American love we built up??  Why are the Communists running our Government???......

Oh.  Wait.  What?  Hold up... ummm.... BC?  I'm not sure I heard you right... Did you say that the Communists are running America??

You're Fucking Right I Did.

So hey, not sure if you heard this, but Karl Rove just left the White House.  You know who Karl Rove is, right?  Yeah, he's the guy who masterminded Bush's rise to power.  He's also the guy who attempted to realign our Government into a One Party system and give the Republican Party indefinite rule.

Hmm... now that doesn't seem very American does it?

Oh, but it gets better....

In order to increase power, Mr. Rove used dirty political tricks to discredit and intimidate his opponents.  He courted the Religious Right and allowed their smear tactics against science and civil rights to enter the mainstream political fray.  He represented already wealthy clients who gained wealth as their power increased, all at the expense of their middle class and lower class countrymen. These same clients have blatantly disregarded American constitutional law and spied on our own citizens, imprisoning a number of them without Due Process of the Law. Oh, and just for flavor, let's not forget how close "Homeland" is to "Motherland".

So... I'm just wondering... how is all this not considered treasonous?  How come a bunch of us aren't camped out with Charlie Sheen in the woods of Virginia and planning how to attack the Commies in the White House and take back America?  I'm not even close to joking on this one.  We've been told that we're fighting a war in Iraq because the alternative would be to sit and wait for our attackers to come here and try to destroy our freedoms.  Well... guess what!  Already happened.  And it wasn't Islamic Extremists or (God Forbid!) the Pinko French.  It was a Texas Governor, a power-hungry Energy Baron, and a College Dropout, give or take a few fundamentalist crazies and their Ministry of Truth.

So.... what?  Is what I'm saying crazy?  Is it dangerous to discuss the idea that the Republican Party (which incidentally has a real fascination with the color Red, but that must be a coincidence) is, in its current form, the American Communist Party?  Just look at the similarities between Soviet Communism in the 1980's and the American "Democracy" under George Bush.   Oh, and by the way, invading Afghanistan isn't the only one.

To clarify one thing- it is completely incorrect to label those on the Left as Communists.  Liberals are not Communists. They are Marxists.  Get it right.

So, people of America, you tell me what should be done?  Should we just sit back and let events play out and hope that order will be restored?  Or should we exercise our 2nd Amendment rights and take up arms against a treasonous Administration?  If we really hate the Communists, then why don't we do something about it?

Anyone know Charlie Sheen's number?

MOTHERFUCKIN' WOLVERINES!!!!!!!

Um, I would agree that we have a facist goverment, but let's not confuse political systems with economic ones. I would hardly call our "corporatocracy" which looks out for the interests of big business as "communist", which at least profess to look out for the common interests of the community.

But I concur, a revolution is needed.

Yes but, aren't the corporations just acting as the Politburo, where the overlords are saying to the people "Don't worry, we're taking care of you", all the while they're fleecing the people and reaping the rewards? To me our government is to "democracy" what the Soviet government was to "communism". Those in charge purport to be on the side of the people, but in reality they are exploiting the system for their own gains and letting the country go to waste.
