From the nice people at MYX (Multicultural Youth eXchange, a Philadelphia non-profit that works with youth worldwide to explore social and cultural issues through art projects) SURCLE is a new art and craft co-op at 110 Church St. in Old City.

The Surlce Co-op is seeking submissions from artists to participate in a 60-day pilot exhibition of sellable work – including small process-driven original artworks and prints, and craft items such as hand-made jewelry, clothing, or decorative art.

Membership in the co-op requires 50% commission and 5 hours dedicated to the storefront during weekends and/or November, December and January First Friday openings. Commission from sales benefits MYX's youth arts & tolerance programs.

To submit:
Email 3 images of small to medium sized works (max. 18 x 24"), with your personal information and a description of your work to Faye@MYXworld.org.

Selected artwork drop-off: Friday October 19, 2007
Preview Party: First Friday, November 2, 2007
Exhibition Dates: Friday, Nov 23, 2007 – January 5, 2008
