Current mood: sleepy Category: Music
So my sister was bumming from only having older material to put up as downloads (obviously the songs on iTunes are theirs to sell digitally and we were warned el Presidente not to cause him problems with all these sites. Solution? I went into the studio and did two remixes for downloads.
1st song was 'Wag on Demand'. The original is heavy enough (I talked Kylyra into doing that on VOX in the first place). But I replaced all keys with distorted bass or guitar and redid the rhythm tracks (except she made me keep her highhat track). I tried to thrash it as much as possible. Very un-kylyra-like recording for sure, but for the metalheads.
2nd song was Invisible Threads cause, well she's supposed to be Alternative Dance and Wag is not dancy after I finished, and well this was supposed to be for marketing, so I did a dancy song in a clubby way. I added a live bass track into it, otherwise it was just playing with effects and EQs actually, but still a legal remix which will be available soon.
Now I'm tired and need to sleep
(but I'll be listening to my new tracks in headphones tonight to make that final approval of whether I let them go or go back into the studio-yeah I think I'm done...)
