If you are under the age of 18 and you want another hole in your head, this is what you need to bring with you in order for us to pierce you. This is the law and not negotiable.   

-Your parent or legal guardian.
-Your school photo ID
-Your parent/legal guardian must bring their driver's license/photo ID
-Your BIRTH CERTIFICATE!!

We have to have documentation that the person with you is your parent or legal guardian.  If it is your guardian, we need paperwork to prove it, so come prepared! It really sucks to drive all the way here, and not go home with a piercing that you've been wanting for a really long time. 

Some tips on piercings for minors to concider:

--Piercing is thousands of years old, and children have been getting pierced for ages as a rite of passage.  If you are getting pierced, you have cool parents...please be respectful to them while getting your piercing.

--Between the ages of 14 and 17, you are still growing.  Navel piercings will have a tendancy to grow out or migrate quickly if pierced too early in your growth process. 

--Absolutely nothing below the neckline other than the Navel (bellybutton).  All others is a felony.  18+ only for microdermal implants as they are like a semi-perminant piercing.

--IT'S GONNA HURT, IT'S A NEEDLE.  As far as how bad? All bodies and areas are different for everyone.  We do not use a piercing gun at this establishment as it can spread pathogens such as Hep C (which lives for 7 days on any surface).  Guns are not sterilizable, only sanitizable.  However, we use single use needles that are cooked at 270 degrees in an autoclave...so is our equipment. Just remember to be relaxed and breathe :)  The more you relax and breathe the less it will hurt as oxygen is a natural pain reliever.   

--Aftercare is vital! A new piercing must be cared for.  If you are a minor, make sure you and your parent understand aftercare procedures and help your piercing heal together (aftercare instructions will be given to you after your piercing).
