Current mood:I friggin' KNEW IT!!
ANYTHING YOU POST ON THERE BECOMES THEIRS - TO DO WHATEVER THEY WANT WITH.
PHOTOGRAPHY, WRITING, PHOTOS, EVERYTHING. And you clicked "I AGREE"...

http://consumerist.com/5150175/facebooks-new-terms-of-service-we-can-do-anything-we-want-with-your-content-forever

SO GLAD I never fell for it!! What a crock. It's nothing but a fancy instant messaging
service anyway. So sorry to all my fellow artists out there who did post their work.

I had a page but deleted it when they started "watching" me because I had our myspace address in the 'what are you doing now?' space.
They kept REMOVING it - even tho you can advertise your Facebook page on Myspace all you want. Total B.S!
MYSPACE RULES!!!!!

Whew!!!!!!! *heaving a huge sigh of relief!!!!!!!!!* I have hated Facebook since you know when...lol...and I'm SO glad I am here on myspace. From what I've seen thru links, it DOES look like a fancy instant messaging service. I don't see the appeal in Facebook AT ALL. Once you have been here on myspace nothing else compares....lease of all FACEFOOK!!!

Creepy stuff Judy.....they sound like a bunch of kids who have nothing better to do with their time than use people and people's profile content.

xx

Yep it sucks big time. I hate it. No one is on there worth knowing, and I mean that with all my heart.

The only good thing about Facebook is that people don't usually have "Screen Names" on there. It is their real name, so it makes it easy to find people you have lost track of for years.

What I am at a loss to explain is the way people have become blind to the point that once you do make contact with someone via the web, you should be assuring your ability to talk In The Real World. Phone numbers, addresses, regular email addresses.

I have friends who have all this information and yet, they talk to me via Facebook, Myspace, Yahoo and such.
Call me on the phone, stop by my house, or email me on a real email address!

Am I just weird?

PS, notice how they are always trying to get you to take endless surveys, and constant input about your mood, what you are doing, and yada, yada, yada.

And what is the big joy in TEXTING?
Ya the few people I found on WASTEBOOK I just gave them my real
email address and myspace address.
I love myspace and communicating
on here because I can see what everyone is really doing and what they are
really like... and the real name thing... To me that is annoying that you HAVE
to use your real name on Wastebook. And I have no desire to be 'poked'.

What the hell is that all about, anyway? I still say Wastebook is for 'Tweens.

But I do agree REAL face time and phone time is the way to go.

Oh and GOD FORBID anyone actually sit down and WRITE a letter and put a
stamp on it and mail it. Forget that.

Facebook and the internet have tarnished the way humans interact.

It's not a healthy thing for teens..they don't learn social skills online.

But I've been able to keep in touch with real life friends and family
this way as well as meet some interesting creative peeps.
Bottom line-
There is a fine line between online socializing and real time socializing.

Both can and will NeVeR be the same. Oh ..and the networking thing online
is primarily what a lot of people use the internet for too..what the hell..as
long as they aren't hacking my site..I don't mind supporting good intentioned
peeps as all.

I haven't got my music on there but you've just convinced me to delete my account there.
I'm surprised they haven't done it for me after the razzing I give the place in the "what are you thinking part?"
Actually, I'll go get the last one I did and show you...

Peter Mourilyan"Facebook is better than MySpcce," bullshit. This place is so boring I will never be Chairman of the Bored for anyone. All these quizzes that define parts of your personality by 'analysing' your answers to 4-20 questions. You have to butt-in on cyber conversations to have a say. You make a joke and people who don't know you well think you're dirty.
It's a mother's club"

Just found out my friend LauraC's Facebook account got deleted or suspended or something after she'd built up a 2000 person friend list.  She lost all her friends on there. What a crock!!

STICK WITH MYSPACE PEOPLE!!
