Here's what I mean by new stuff:
I wrote 3 new songs this week here in Tulsa w/ a killer new band called Electric Touch. Great little Texas rock group (I believe they live fairly close to New Braunfels).
I have songs on 3 new albums that came out recently. Our Lady Peace, AMP and Cavo.
Cavo's new single (released mid Sept) is a song I wrote called "Crash" with my new friend Tommy Henrickson.
I got a new messenger bag (don't call it a purse) for my birthday while in New York City w/ my family last week.
Jude and Ben have new teachers and seem to be loving school so far!
I have landed a couple songs on the upcoming Bowling For Soup album which will be released late Sept (and 2 on the new EP...just out).
I have a new found appreciation of twitter. I've been tweeting and posting links and following and finding people and stuff...it's new to me but I like it. I'm especially enjoying posting a 'lyric of the day' (each lyric will mean something to someone about something going on that day...even it's just me)
I'm also excited to say: I am going to record some songs (new and old) live in my studio the week after labor day. My buddy Kelly Kerr is gonna film the process and I'm gonna record it.
If it goes well, I'm gonna release a new E.P. and video. Kelly wanted to shoot me singing a song for his site so I thought: let's take it a step further and see what happens. I haven't done anything like this in a while but I get enough emails and messages saying I oughtta release something...well here I go.
