So we did it! We left Toronto; me and my right hand man Jason Skiendziel on double bass, mandolin, and other crazy stuff. We're on tour across this massive and amazing country for the next 5 months. 70 gigs. 2 down - 68 to go!
We started off last Friday night in the Soo at the infamous Loplops run by the ever-so-cool Stephen Alexander and his pops Bob. Great people. We had a little crowd. Some old fans came back to see us again. We shared the bill with Laura Barrett and the Phonemes. Lovely ladies.
It was a long drive to Thunder Bay. I coffin rode it on our bunk in the back of our Safari and Jason drove during the night. He's good like that. We saw a moose. It was enormous.
The Apollo in Thunder Bay is a great venue. Lovely space and Sheila and her mom Tina are the coolest ladies ever. We had plates and plates of food and homemade wine waiting for us when we pulled in. We've basically moved in for the next few days and have adopted Alex, the soundman, as our brother. He's chillin' with us right now.
We're live to air on LU Radio tomorrow at 6pm and have a cute lil' house concert in Lappe on Wednesday, then we continue on West.
