What is a SUPER COMMENT:

 

A SUPER COMMENT is NEVER POSTED to anothers site. Only to your own !!!!!

Created by Eachdraidh .. ie: David Simmons x-Systems Programmer (now Singer/Songwriter) Martin Marietta Project Planner.I want to create a powerful Comment to give the power to the people in Space. Through Hard Work and dedicated attention to friends who comment our sites we can help others meet quality friends. I went through 1200 comments to select 150 or so who have shown they care about others more than themselves.

You can make more friends in two months by becoming more interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get people interested in you.

The focus of a SC is on great comments from friends. These LINK back to them.

They are Great non-generic ((ie. NOT Cut and Paste comments or comments about themselves))  made to your site.

In other words the SC will be about those fiends. This will be the general rule. Anyone that doesn't follow this deserves own scorn.. ie.. it won't make it into a SC.

 In this BETA version.. I have gone through approx. 1200 comments. I looked for comments that showed they were SC's. I then applied a template to it giving a link Back to these wonderful FRIENDS.

For now it is a simple list.

Date, time, comment. Linkable back to the commenter.

Text only in this section. +++ I expect other HTML experts will help each of us to create better SUPER COMMENTS. If they send me an HTML TEMPLATE they must be within the RULES of MYSPACE.

 

WHAT RULES I APPLIED.

I suggest you don't create a SUPER COMMENT unless you have over 5000 friends and over 1000 comments. After you create an SC you can have it replace the 1000 or so comments in your system. This will help Myspace I think by reducing its storage.

I also try to keep the SUPER COMMENT focused on music but this is only because I'm a Musician.

By helping others find quality friends you will help yourself.

PLEASE FEEL FREE to comment.

 This idea is just that. If it makes you happy, let me know. If it annoys you, let me know.

It is only as SUPER as the INPUT applied.

and remember if it annoys TOM you won't find me here again.

I don't want that.

 

ALSO you PUT it in your OWN site.. It takes another to do that for YOU. I have my ANGEL.

Not sure exactly what this is, where it is, or how it works, but I am honored to be notified about it, included on the LTD edition list (hahaha) and most of all, honored to be your friend.
I hope my little note about SNOCAP store placement helps also. I decided to post the same on my site as a blog, since it seems lots of us are struggling to get that right.
I'll try to write something more when I figure out how the SC works!

It is quite simple actually. It is just hard to explain. First I hasd 1200 comments. Most from people who showed interest mostly in themselves. You know them. They comment with a cut and paste and all of us are guilty at one time or another of doing so. To look through 1200 comments gives you a chance to realize this. From thesae comments I wanted to take Quotes I could use that described our music and where it seemed the people cared enough to take the time to look and  to listen. TO HONOR these people I thought why not put them in a comment where they could be linked directly from my site withourt having to permanently put them in my code. The answer was a SC or Super Comment.

By placing in in MY comments instead of other peoples it would noy annoy others as it was over 150 links. These were just dates and times and comment. I then could then simply see these special people periodicaly updating it and resending it to myself. In my case I had another site I knew which allowed me to do this. My wifes site.

 

The usefulness.

By going to Edit Comments I could click on each comment and note the date and time. I could modify a message.. ((here you go.. CUT and Paste ))... But in this case I have the persons comment and the date and the time to show I actually appreciated and noted so by telling the person. Now he can link from this back to my site GO to the super comment and see the other people in the SPACE he was which was one that appreciated us enough to comment like them. These people I must say would have similar interests.

 

SIMPLE.

 

And I suggest SUPER COMMENTS are here to stay for that reason.

I'm not really understanding but I always seem to make things that are simple, seem hard. I do this all the time on my computer. Thank goodness for my children that make things easy again lol. I will have my kids go over this again and see if they can explain it so I can get it. I kind of get it but not. But the idea seems great.

 I do personalize a lot of the messages about the SC.. Super Comment. You were a friend and I have the habit of going to my favorite sites. I did yours and leaving a message. If they had made a comment I told them so.

*** important below...

WhatI do to make a Super Comment is I go through all my comments and select certain ones. I build this than go to another site LOG in.. in this case my wifes and send it to my site.. usually first thing in the morning.

I'm not quite sure what it is yet even though I've read the whole things comments and all twice, but I'm guessing I'll figure it out eventually   :)  I like you guys, btw, one of the few myspace artists that actually take the time to go to individual sites and leave comments.
