2 bands. 1 bus. 5 cities. 5000km
Converse is going on a road trip this summer with 2 of Beijing's best underground bands, hitting the road like never before in China. Through 5 cities and thousands of kilometers, the 2 bands will traverse the country by customized tour bus, and play shows with the local bands they meet along the way. In the spirit of a road trip in the classical sense, the band will be living on the bus for the majority of their time during tour.
Converse is sending these two bands out to chart new Chinese territory in the time-honored musical rite of passage. Taking it on the road. Taking the long way and experiencing the unexpected. For them, this roadtrip is about the journey, but the music is the destination.

P.K.14's MyspaceQueen Sea Big Shark
Queen Sea Big Shark was formed in 2005 and almost from the very beginning became one of the most watched bands in the Beijing scene and one of the most admired among the younger bands. They have a hard, very funky but also very hard-rocking sound that in some ways recreates the New York scene of the early 1980s. Like bands of that time and period – Bush Tetras, the Contortions, ESG – the Sharks combine tight rhythms with very loud, raunchy guitars.
