During the snow storm this week *with the power flickering hence why 5 of my oil lamps where already lit* I decided to take a few fotos of down stairs so those of you whom haven't been to the house can see where I'm coming from when I say my "old broad" or "old lady" choice in decorating. For me it's very comfortable, it was the way I was brought up as a child how my mum's house was, both grandmothers home, aunts, grandfathers ect.... Things such as the gramophone, to the singer sewing machine from 1886, to the 1920 perfection oil heater all come in handy when ice storms knock out power so they do serve a purpose and are used not just to look at.
Oh and as there usually a question "So ya like clocks huh?" In the kitchen, dining and living room there are 20 clocks *not counting the coffee maker*. I love clocks!

02. The microwave
03. The little ticker above the pantry

09. The little ticker clock near the aquarium

13. The striker on the telle
14. Swinging blackforest clock above the telle

Yes I have more upstairs. Gratefully for Luke anyways, for downstairs only the one on the piano, the cuckoo clock, the striker on the telle, the mantle clock, and the grandmother clock chime. The mantle clock, the grandmother clock, and the one on the piano chime ever 15min, the cuckoo clock and striker on the telle are only on the half hour and the hour. The rest simply tell time. Upstairs the only one that chimes is the striker on the half hour and the hour.
Anyways I should have cleaned house before taking them but c'est la vie we do live here! If you feel like posting a comment feel free be it good, bad or indifferent. If not that's fine too I'm not looking for gratification only letting you peer into my life a bit.
