Hey Folks,
I just received this update from Tommy...they have been BUSY!  Comment and leave some love...
Meg

Finally!!!! Internet service on the road!!!

Ok, so sorry its been awhile since my last update. We've been blowing through
the country this summer, making friends everywhere!! lol.. Geez, lets see, where to start?

So we had CMA Fest which I'm sure some of you made the trip to Nashville to take part in. We opened things up on Thursday at Riverfront Park and then headed straight over to the Phan Club party where Phil, Jeff, Fitz and Fausett all had a good time. Who knew they would serve drinks so early?

Then we headed to Virginia, Ohio, and geared up for a crazy week ahead with Summerfest in Milwaukee approaching and Joe's on Weed Street. Yeah umm not a lot of sleep that weekend, gonna be honest. We had a such a great time at those shows. The people at Summerfest always take care of us even though on a personal note, I missed Stevie Wonder playing there by one day. Are you kidding me? I cried.. Really.. We did get to see the rock band Rush's soundcheck though so that helped a little. Thanks Donovan. Joe's on Weed Street was a blasty blast. Chicago is such a cool town and Ed is so good to us. We love seeing him and hanging out with Erica and that whole crew. Thanks guys!!

4th of July we spent in Nashville. We played at Riverfront again with Michael McDonald and the Nashville Symphony Orchestra. That was pretty surreal. On Michael's last song Phil got on stage and sang "Takin It To The Streets" with him and the orchestra. Then the fireworks began while the orchestra played. Very cool.. Thanks to Butch and all the people that put it together.

We've been playing all the festivals and a few other shows here and there. Country Concert in FT. Loramie, WGNA Country fest in Altamont, NY, Star Spangled Celebration in Wisconsin, Crew Stadium in Columbus, OH and everywhere in between.

All of us passed the time on the road with lots of frisbee, football and Robin is keeping us in shape and going to the gym. Jeff still steals some ice cream every now and then and Gordo makes sure to tell on him while he goes and grabs one himself while Robin is getting on Jeff. Yeah we're like little children.

The new guys (Jason Fitz on Fiddle, Jason Fausett on Organ, Pete Sternberg on Bass, Justin Curtiss at FOH Sound and Drew Baca on Lights) all have been adjusting well. We have a good group of guys so make sure you come see us soon. This summer is just now getting started for us so we'll be around, promise..

And now we're somewhere in Indiana and finally get to head home for a couple of days. Phil has been playing plenty of volleyball at his house and playing with Haylee and Presley keeps him in shape without the need of a gym. The new single comes out this week so make sure you call in and request "I Would" as much as you can. Oh and buy the CD for everyone you know, that'd be great! lol..

Sam has been putting up lots of videos of us on the road too so make sure you check the myspace videos and tell us what you think. Baltimore, NY and MA are next on the list so all you Northern folks come see us and say hi..

Til next time..
Tommy

Hi Phil and eveyone,
Sounds like you guys are having a very productive and "fun" summer. It's great that Phil got to sing with Michael McDonald, as he is one of my "friends" as well, whose jazzy, r&b sound I just love! You guys must have had such a blast performing together, one of my favorite songs of his "Taking it to the Streets".

It is so cool that Phil will be at the Indian Ranch in Webster,Ma, this coming weekend. It is kind of funny and odd, as I am so close to the area, and yet so "far away" in other ways. I don't believe that I wll be attending as I have care-taker issues on the weekend, and my sister that was able to drive me there for a concert last year would probably not be able to drive me, as she hasn't been feeling well herself, for the past weekend, although, bless her heart, she has still helped me out as much as possible on the weekends, knowing that the care-taker stuff is just entirely too much for one person to handle, at times.

On a lighter side, if you haven't yet seen the Indian Ranch, and this location, you will absolutely love it, as it is right by the water, there is a camp sight there, and it is just such a wonderful, pleasant location for a concert. Great family environment venue! There is even a nice shaded, covered platform area[where local bands perform, with picnic benches, and you can definitely see a potential dance floor underneath it, and this area is overlooking this beautiful, calm body of water.

Anyway, take care, have a great time at Webster, and on the road with your other venues, and have a great week.
By the way, I already own your new album and I just love your new song, "I Would", Phil, as I do all of your music that you have written. Great song, and a definite 1 hit at some point! Oh yeah, I almost forgot that WCTK will also be there at Webster, so I hope that all of you together have a great time!
