Great question. I've always been academically fine but my plan was always to dropout of high school since day one, and it was based on political reasons. I felt the teachers at the high school I attended didn't have our best interest as students, and they weren't going to make money off my attendance. I wasn't the stereotypical dropout, right after I dropped out of my high school, I tried independent studies with a correspondent school, got tired of that and left. Waited some years later then went to an adult school for a GED right before I passed the GED got tired of that and left, and stayed out of school, but the whole time I had a purpose for my life, my career. I've always been a good kid but just dropped out of school. Dropping out of school isn't the best thing to do but I
stayed focused and God kept me on the right track always. I never made the mistakes that is expected for a dropout. Back when I was 24, I tried the high school thing for the last time the year before I quit another correspondent high school, I stuck with the one my brother introduced me to, and I got my High School Diploma. I was against starting the whole GED process over and was hoping for a High School Diploma and thank God, I finally got it! I graduated in 2001.  My education doesn't end there, I was blessed to get into a great University, but the funny thing, I still don't think college is for me and never wanted to go but instead of dropping out, I would just take a semester off. I once shared this story on Youtube. To end a long story, education is very important and people never stop learning--there's always room to grow and improve.

I got off the topic "Is America filling up with Dumb People?"

I would say yes..here in California not too sure about other states, but money is being cut from schools, and its been that way before the recession. Some students can't get books etc. To me, its contradicting for the government to tell everyone to get an education, then people make that step to do so, and programs are cut, money cut from schools, and teachers being fired, and its always the good teachers. My sister is a teacher--so I hear all the stories about great programs in schoosl being eliminated and not for good reasons. "The American Dream" is bs. People make mistakes like dropping out of school , but I think America wants there citizens to be illiterate, because actions speak louder than words. The American Dream..is really to kill, steal and destroy and they been doing this since America's been America, but now, they steal from schools and health care for our people(Americans) and invest most of our money killing people in wars. My brother came close to being called for active duty and for what? I feel this "war" could have been squashed in 2001.

Definitely a double standard and you raise a great point in regard to Government promoting education but not really putting the (our) money where their public campaign for doing so is. However after doing and knowing from what I've learned from industry there are two sides and I have to admit "I don't know everything". So I do what I can for a positive change in the lives of those I can beginning with the advancement of education through Hip Hop at North Carolina Central University. Getting kids who would normally discount school to change their minds. Soon you will be hearing about it in detail and hope you will support it?
