I came back about a week ago from a mini tour with the Numerators from Lubbock, Tx !!! This tour was awesome! It started in Flagstaff @ The Monte Vista hotel. It was a full moon, cold as fuck, and driving up to flag was rad because I saw some elk on the side of the road. I was very fortunate to play with GZR and IHYWYP. While GZR was playing their last song the manager of the place decided to be really adamant about telling GZR to turn down. Finally, after being asked several times to turn down Bobby from GZR decided their set was a done deal. After GZR went on the manager decided to bitch me out about turning down before i had even started. I told him to take it easy. The thing is the manager didn't know was that I had been kicked out of the Monte V the last time I was there. The manager of the Monte V is a GAYLORD. Real Talk. My set was pretty fun even though I couldn't hear shit from the P.A. because they had turned it down. Phil played some old jams, some new ones and it was a super fun set. I drove back to Phoenix at 2 in the morning and I got home at 4am. I slept for 4 hours and then flew out to Lubbock, Tx.

I arrived in Lubbock at 230pm, then went into KTXT @ 5pm did a radio interview/ live performance and talked about the split release show with The Numerators, SBACH, and Little Teeth. I also saw Little Teeth perform on KTXT and it was spectacular performance. The show was at Bash's in Lubbock and the turnout was pretty great considering the current state of the economy. I finally met Spencer Seim from Hella/ Sbach and he was super nice/ talented dude. I hadn't seen the Numerators in a couple of years, but their live show has gotten really good. With the addition of Rueben on bass he has really filled in the low end frequencies/ sick rhymes for the Numerators. The show ended, we went home and had three hours of sleep, then we were on our way to Albuquerque, Nm.

I forgot that the drivers side window was broken in the Explorer and could not go up at all for our whole trip! Soooo I was on 7 hours of sleep in the last two days and we had to drive to Alb for our show at lunchtime at University of New Mexico. It was rather cold especially for a Phoenician, but we pulled through it. We got to UNM late, but we still managed to play the show. The show was kind of awkward because the hiring of bands is mostly for background noise. The show took place in front of the student union and you performed in front of a bunch of statues. The Numerators had a rad set and I had a great time especially using my new wireless mic!!! I am pretty sure I performed most of Total Winner on my knees riding a longboard. Nuff said bro! The Numerators and I performed songs on KUNM later that day and plugged the new split. I still can't believe we scored that interview of KUNM. KUNM is basically the college/ Npr radio station in Alb. Later on that day, we played the Goldhouse which is a D.i.y., vegan venue in Alb.
First off the GOldhouse= good people. The whole show was super fun and totally diverse. One of the standouts that night was watching a band called North America. North America is kinda like a dancy version of Hovercraft. Hovercraft is still one of my fav bands and the fact that they sounded like that and adding the dance element was INCREDIBLE. We slept in a suuuuuuuper cold basement but we got sleep though for the first time in a few days. After our many tasks in Alb we were on our way to El Paso, Tx.

I have never played in El Paso so I was pretty excited about the whole extravaganza. One of the interesting things about El Paso is that there is barely any white people which is strange yet comforting. We got to play with the DOzal Bros from El Paso which was fucking amazing and Bel Aire from Austin who was also totally amazing but in a totally different way. The show was at a coffee house/ bar called the percolator in downtown El Paso. The crowd participation in this place was off the hoooooooooooooooooook! Needless to say the show was great.

Many thanks to: The NUmerators, Dozal Bros, Little Teeth, Sbach, Bel Aire, North America, GZR, ihywyp, Everyone at the Goldhouse, KUNM, KTXT, and The girl who let us borrow the Ford Explorer! I can't remember her name.

Czech out my new song called Real Talk! nOW.
