Just a quick thank you

i just wanted to let you know that the sound of the voices and the melody of the samples music is a pretty powerful thing. just today, i was driving my two kids for a playdate and popped in a samples live double disc...i am twenty nine years old and yet immediately felt like i was 19 again. fully.

just like that, i went back ten years. i found myself standing in the dorm room of the boy i "liked" in college on the night we discovered we were both samples fans! we danced there together like silly kids! just ENJOYING the music. and each other. it was joy.

then! i remembered the group of friends that piled into my mom's minivan with me for a pseudo spring break trip to Florida. i did most of the driving and that last leg was ROUGH, having had the least amount of sleep! i put the samples CASETTE TAPE in and my friend awoke and smiled. she stayed awake and just sang along with me as we sailed into the most beautiful sunrise. your music playing was the perfect backdrop for a most perfect arrival.

then, i was brought back to Lupo's in Providence, RI the night before a final exam. A friend and i got the tickets fully aware it was during exams. We said, "fuck it! we will deserve the break from studying!" and we DID deserve it...and the show was refreshing, as always. your music holds a special place.

so there i am today, driving in the car, and hearing the "weight of the world", i realize...the world is not as big as we think...and our experiences are not as far away as we remember. your music linked me back up with myself. all over again.

Hi Sean,
Im David, Ronnie's younger brother. I just wanted to say that he got me into the Samples music years and years ago and I have been a huge fan ever since! I absolutely love your work, I have made a CD of all my favorites and listen to it on the way to work and at home all the time. My favs are "Everytime" .. "Streets in the rain" .. "Indiana" .. and "Sacred Stones" .. to name a few. Your music is so original and inspiring.

I hope that I can catch a show sometime with Ronnie, but my work in the navy keeps me crazy busy.

Again, thanks for being a great source of motivation to me!

Re: Free Nature, Save The Wolves

Hi you guys....

I think this is a wonderful effort !!!!! I'm happy to see this..I'm from Idaho and have supported the wolf recovery since it was a mere debate years ago.
So when I heard the news of "open season" on the wolves, I've been disappointed to say the least.
It's no secret I didn't vote for Butch Otter and have never liked him for what he has been able to get away with in this state and I do feel like he mislead the good people of Idaho, again, when he was running for governor.
Sad to think the money I donated to this cause is for not...since Otter wants to kill all but 100 wolves in this state, just above the number needed to put them back on the endangered list
Which doesn't make sense when you think about all of the time, money and effort that has been invested into this recovery.
Thank you for supporting an issue so close to my heart.

My daughter was very upset after I told her that I met Dan last night. She wanted an autograph .... but this was the next best thing that I could figure out ... She loves the Samples do to her fathers long time interest in the band .... I guess you guys let her sister up on stage at the concert that she went to here in VT... I'm so glad to be able to have you all on my "list". I got turned on to the Samples back in 97' and I've found it difficult to find your stuff. Needless to say, I downloaded a lot tonight off the isound.

I just wanted to say on a personal level, some of your songs have gotten me through a lot of turmoil in life. Sean, your lyrics are so personal and so connected to actual life, it blows me away how you guys aren't selling out stadiums. "As Tears Fall" has been a staple.
