Buddy Guy in the house!!! Every so often you need a kick in the head to remind you that blues is alive and growing. If you were at Mr. Guy's show last night and didn't get that kick, you need to check your pulse. It was a pure joy to watch a master work his magic to a grateful Columbus crowd and from where I was on the floor there were a lot of us students in the audience.
Last night was about as good as it gets for this Mojo. Start with seeing a forefather work the crowd at the LC -- we love you Buddy, roll down to Jay's Sports Lounge and get funkdified by the Thumpdaddy himself, Mr. Donald Payne,-- hell of a night my brother, and then roll up to Flannagans and have the honor of being asked to finish a set with Tense--thanks gentelmen-you rock. As a musician, you can't ask for much more. Funk to Jazz, Rock to Blues . . .it's all from the heart and god love you for keeping it rolling.
