so i know everyone experiences this, but i would just like to explore it a bit.  isn't it crazy how you have memories that are so tied to a particular song?  you hear a long, lost song and you're immediately brought back to a time in your life that has imprinted itself with that specific tune.  i have a few; but to try to describe the corresponding memories would take a ton of backstory and much too much time; so i'll just throw a few songs out there.  maybe they mean something to you too and we can share later.  the clearest one i have; that actually inspired me to write this is "Wonderwall" by Oasis.  ugh, so many visuals.  anyway, a few more: "Shimmer" by Fuel, "Heart Shaped Box" by Nirvana.  "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" by *duh* The Beatles, "The Way you Make me Feel" by (yeah, yeah) Michael Jackson.  Well, those are the biggest ones.  and, hmm, it's funny how those are all related to relationships that i've had.  well, i find this phenomenon to be an interesting little piece of life.  so there.

But sometimes, the meaning we give songs can be less important than the songs themselves.  Like: "We are the world.  We are the children.  We are the ones who make a brighter day."  Remember that song, baby?  From the night I fucked you in the pet cemetery?  (That's a Mitch Hedberg joke...wish I could take credit for it.)
