Lexor became lost in "Doors" in Egypt during WW2. Carploxins, being organics, possess the ablity to open "Doors". Those are, the three thousand or so crossover slits into the other dimensions that exist within every place at every moment. There could be more slits. No one could ever look into them all. Certainly one would become lost. This is what happened to Lexor. Within the Valley of Kings he found it nescessary to enter a "Door" to escape capture by nomads. This happens regularly among us. One will simply disappear to begin walking in a new place. I always traveled to my new destination as I was able to know where I was going and had been. I have understood "Doors" only by "peeking" or allowing only half of my body to enter the slit in order to peek at the other side. Stepping all the way through runs the risk of losing the door as they are thin. Lexor eventually found his slit and returned two years ago. He had a fresh new glow. He never spoke of his absence.
Humans seem to have not aquired this ability to see "Doors". They are always in the one space, oblivious to that which lies around them. We have never felt the need to tell them. In fact, it is only rum, that I like about them. Rum is delicious to me. I waited a long time to taste it.

I got lost in "The Doors" once, but it was more like a bad Oliver Stone movie.  Break on through, death is the only way out!
