Last night we had a dual booking between Ventura's Coastal Roasting company and UC Santa Barbara's live radio broadcast at KCSB, the university's radio station.

Some of my (Dayv's) family made the hour-long drive, but unfortunately our full set was cut to three songs.  Such is the uncertainty of touring.

Playing at KCSB was great!  The station was tricked out with multiple studios and a huge cd and vinyl library.  Josh and Becca brought us on their show, "5...4...3...2...Fun," which brings in local and touring bands to play and chat on the air.

A special shout-out goes to Anton in the Bay Area.  Thanks to you and anyone else who caught our set.

Also with us on the show was The Lonesome Architects.  Their unique blend of folky indie rock with heartful lyrics and melodies were deftly captured by Josh and Becca's expert live radio mixing.

It also turned out that they were our dopplegangers!  Get this: we use the same keyboard (Alesis Micron), have the same melodica, and are touring in each other's neck of the woods (they played Northern California a few weeks ago).  We were half expecting the universe to collapse, or at least a fight to the death after the radio show to assume the loser's powers.

Our show today in Thousand Oaks got cancelled, but thanks to Jose's tireless work, he secured us a performance at little suaree in the house the podcast was recorded, as well time in a television studio to record a video podcast!

Seriously, if you can, send this guy a message to tell him how freaking awesome he is.

We're both looking forward to this Saturday's performance, because it's part of the Ventura Art Walk, when all the art spaces in the downtown area open themselves up to display art.

Buffalo Records, where we'll be performing, is an awesome little radio station.  The owner is friendly and supportive of bands such as Randit.  He even asked for a few of our cds to put on the shelves, so if you miss us this week, stop on by Buffalo Records to pick up a copy of our CD.
