Hey everyone,

Kyle here. I am starting this blog in the middle of practice because everyone else seems to be distracted by there phones all at the same time (not uncommon). This is the first week of Writing/Pre-Production and we are currently renting a studio in sacramento to finish writing our next CD and i couldn't be more excited. We have been writing here and there for the last couple months, but it has been hard to sit down and finish anything when we are touring and playing the occasional show. Since writing a new CD is number one on our list, we cleared our schedule for the next 2 months to sit down and finish all of our ideas.

Im glad that the rest of the band is in high hopes for this album, because its going to be hard to narrow down the songs we want to use from all the song ideas and demo's we have. (but to be honest i think we are gonna write some new ones from scratch in the studio too) Right now my favorite song we are playing is called "Anything At All." But I'm sure it will change many times over the next few weeks. I'm not really sure if we are going to be pulling any songs from "These Are For You" or "All Together Now" to be reworked and put on this new record. That is something I'm sure we will debate to the very last second.

As many of you may know... or not. We are not completing this record on our own. The album is being produced by Dan K. from the band Sherwood (myspace records). If you have not heard of Sherwood, i suggest that you get off your butt and do so... wait, reverse that. Sit on your butt at your computer and take a listen!!! I am extremely proud of the songs that we have been collaborating on and cant wait to hear the final product.

Practice is now over and everyone is going home for the night. Im not too sad... i get to see them all tomorrow at the exact same time! :-) I have been listening to a lot of Bee Gee's lately and I'm hoping it doesn't effect the song writing for Hazel and Vine. I don't think anyone would want to hear my Barry Gibb impression (singer)... or maybe you do!!!!

I just finished uploading some pics of our studio and some of the gear we are using to record all the final demoes before we go to the real studio. None are with the guys. I will make sure to take pics of them tomorrow.
