Current mood:  giggly
Hello... mainly to my family and friends I have not talked to in a while, (which happens to be quite a lot of you.) I just wanted to give you all an update because I have quite a few things going on in my life right now...
Last month Donny got hired onto the East Lyme Police Department, which is very exciting and we are very happy about it. I know some people were nervous about it but I can assure you East Lyme is a nice town. Very upper-middle class, and it has a very low crime rate. I know there are criminals everywhere... but I am also a Marine wife, I think I can handle this as well.  Right now he is at the Police Academy Mon-Fri and the weeks actually go by pretty fast. He will graduate from the Academy sometime in August.
So since he plans to work in East Lyme that is where I am going to start looking for an apartment. Well... probably in Niantic, but that is kinda the same place. (It's confusing.) lol. Niantic to East Lyme is like Altamont to Klamath Falls... yeah... anyways...
I plan on looking for an apartment in Niantic soon. It is a very nice little town right on the Long Island sound, with beaches and a boardwalk. There was a listing right next to the Police Station overlooking the water that I still need to check on. It would be nice to have the beach as my backyard! Keep your fingers crossed for me though, because sometimes it is hard to find a place. Especially since we have Kamie. She is a good cat though. :)
This is Niantic...
I plan to start school in the Fall. I still plan on doing Cosmetology, and I think the fall will be a good time to start. The school is actually in East Lyme so I lucked out on the location. It's actually only 2 blocks away from the Police Station.
Uhmm... let's see.... not much going on besides all that. In June I get to go to New York for a baseball game, and I am looking forward to that. Donny's uncle presents the Babe Ruth Award to the person who hits the most homeruns in a season, so he asked us to go to the game also. He presents the award with Babe Ruth's daughter and nephew. So we actually get to go for free, and me and Donny will get to go present the award to Alex Rodriguez.
Even though I am not a Yankee's fan, I am still excited to go to a game. Especially because it is the last season the Yankee's will play at Yankee Stadium. I haven't gone to a game since Oakland, so I am way overdue to go to another! I'll be sure to take pictures!!!
