Film

Over the last few weeks we have brought you clips from our film 'The End Of Innocence - A Film About The Thrills' Directed by Danny O'Connor, whose work includes the chart topping Stereophonics DVD "Rewind", this film boasts the band's own never-seen before archive plus exclusive behind-the-scenes footage shot by a team allowed unparalleled access for over four years. From St Patrick's Day in Tempe, Arizona to 80,000 people at Dublin's Phoenix Park, it's all here. Thrills, Pills and Bellyaches!

Throw in the pressures of that difficult second album not to mention the making of the even more difficult third long player and you've got a universal tale of struggle and joy, of laughter and defeat. There's the spats, the highs and the lows all thrown in for good measure. This 70 minute documentary also features some of the biggest names in music: REM and the Chilli Peppers among them, plus commentary from Bob Geldof. There's also frank interviews with the band themselves which all contributes to an extraordinary story, warts and all, and a truly unique film.

We are giving you the chance to own this film as part of the special edition version of the album. This exclusive package includes the full length film, plus a unique photo gallery of pictures taken by Padraic McMahon.

I'm on my way out to get the album as I type......quite hard to type and run out the door at the same time:P

Its sounds pretty damn good from what I heard in the myspace page, no doubt it will prove a comfort at Irish College, which I'm going to on thursday and not looking forward to at all:(

Can't wait to see the "rockumentary" as it were, looks hella good from the clips and Padraics pics are always cool!!!

Much Love
Áns;-)

When the special edition cd/dvd arrived this morning I stuck the DVD in to watch first, was pure enjoyment from beginning to end and a great insight to your journey as musicians. As a big Thrills fan it was great to see places that I had been there too. It may have been the end of innocence but it was the beginning of a great maturity as people and more importantly as the great musicians you are:-)
The new record is totally sublime:-)x

Haven't seen the album in any US stores yet. Haven't spotted a date for a US release. Would rather grab it off the shelf than wait for amazon. Is there a date for US release? Am I an idiot and it's already on the shelves waiting for me?

Dear Thrills,

For the love of all we hold dear and true, please please PLEASE look into getting the special edition of Teenager, or at least the DVD, released here in Canada!

I've been asking for the special edition for months now at HMV and Sunrise and some other stores here in Toronto (they're beginning to hate me, lol) and now they're telling me that the special edition is discontinued even in the UK, which was the only market the special edition of Teenager (with the documentary film) was released in.

I love you guys and always will, but it would mean so much to be able to purchase and watch the new film! I just don't see what the bloody hell's the point of going to all the trouble of making a film only to hide it away like the bloody Lost Ark where no-one can support it or enjoy it, LOL. :D Sorry, had to vent a little there. ;)

Keep up the great music and I know your next album will be super, as your first three are for sure!

Fondly,

Rachel :)
