Happy Earth Day!

I hope everyone takes the time to think about our planet today and how very special it is to us.  I mean, really, it’s the only one we have.  Without the Earth, we would cease to exist.  Let’s take care of her, for us and for our children.  Earth Day was founded in 1970 by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson so that makes this the 39th anniversary.  And I know, you’ve all heard this before, but let’s make everyday Earth Day.  Here are some websites I’ve found that are very informative about the crisis our planet is going through.  I hope each of us make every effort to make a difference so our children have the chance to grow to live healthy and long lives.

StopGlobalWarming.org

Stop Global Warming Virtual March  Even if you don’t ‘believe’ in global warming as I’ve heard from many people, this is still a good site to learn how to save energy as well as save money.

We Can Solve the Climate Crisis This is an awesome site that helps you learn how easy it is to help make a difference from signing petitions to simply spreading the word.  Learn about the solutions to the climate crisis and how you can help.

Repower America This site is part of the We Campaign with Al Gore’s plan to repower America with 100% clean electricity within 10 years.  Hmm…imagine how far we would be if he had been elected…

Earth Day Network Find events or register your own as well as other valuable information.

Native Energy Check your carbon footprint and learn simple things you can do to save energy.

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency A must see site to learn about the issues concerning the environment and its effect on our health.

.. ..

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I really hope you check out some of these site.  I would also love to hear about any information or websites you might have come across concerning going green or any other environmental issues.

Okay, so some of these links might not be working because either MySpace must not like anyone to leave their site or I messed it up. Here are the websites so you can copy and paste.
