The voice of jazz rings from belly spasms wrapping in a wail with vital spirits hugging deep like a heartbeat The music starved cats weave through lines and arpeggios with a gusto wave that leaves you fuzzy-eyed and alive in the fusebox The real jazz keeps snaking around the head until the untidy world moves in shaking its finger in a "no" motion Jazz & Freedom melt in unison slaying the puppet hand -all the way to the grave The Jazz soul is high on emotion be-bopping to the groove lost in time the music sets the pace 3/14/92 Chicago, IL
