Jingle All The Dayer
First of all, thanks to everyone who came down on saturday for jingle all the dayer. Personally, I had an amazing, entirely festive day - playing mario kart tournaments, seeing some of my favourite people in the world, and watching christmas films soundtracked by nine of my favourite bands and solo artists around - massive thanks to everyone that played, you were all wonderful. We could say it's a christmas miracle that nothing went wrong with sound issues in a church, or we could just thank the guys at Purple Pro Audio who did an amazing job. Thanks to Smalltown America for all the helping out and donating albums for the raffle. And to Steve (Jam on Bread) for a lovely performance in holy trinity cafe. Thanks to Fran Rodgers who designed us one hell of a special flyer. Special thanks goes to my partner-in-crime from The Deku Tree - Joel, who did an incredible amount of work towards the event and didn't get half of the recognition he deserves. Also, if I gave you a mixtape - hope you enjoyed it and sorry about the lack of tracklisting, send a message if you want to know what a certain song is.
Me and joel had an amazing time and lots of fun putting the day together, and it all payed off. Jingle All The Dayer will definitely be returning next year - thanks to everyone who came and made it such a fun day. It'll also be better organised - i.e. next time we won't just kinda think "I know! let's arrange a massively ambitious all-dayer! in about months time!"
We're yet to fully work out finances, but it looks like we've raised a fair amount for St Georges CryptWe'll have photos and videos up from the event soon.
Any feedback would be lovely - it'd be great to hear what you thought so we can make it even better next year!

The future...
We're putting on four wonderful bands in about a months time at The Royal Park Cellars. It's insanely cheap, and one hell of a line-up... There's a flyer on our page.
Cats And Cats And CatsWintermuteItchWorried About SatanFurther ahead, we'll probably be doing another gig around february, featuring some of our favourite folky artists around leeds.
We're also very excited to announce we'll probably be putting on the genius that is Owen Ashworth, aka CASIOTONE FOR THE PAINFULLY ALONE. Watch this space for more details. It'll probably be happening sometime in march.
The music blog Inside The Deku Tree will be making a grand return in 2008. I've scrapped together some pennies so I can buy some bandwidth so will be able to host some of my favourite mp3s again. You can read my thoughts too, but that part is probably worth ignoring.
Lastly, merry christmas and a happy new year to everyone! Christmas is of course the best time of the year, and if you disagree, you've got no soul. If you're reading this, please stop now and go spend some time with your family, wrap some presents, or watch It's A Wonderful Life.
Have an amazing, amazing christmas and we'll hopefully see you in 2008!
Nestor x
