so we left grand rapids yesterday for our west coast tour with voodoo glow skulls, random hand and knockout. the highlights of the trip yesterday involved 6 dollar beers at the airport in chicago, playing some nintendo DS with rick (i think i actually won for once), hearing nate spill his wild turkey on his lap on the plane, putting season one of the flight of the conchords on both nate and dave's ipods, a bloody mary and peanuts on the flight, searching out our rental van and instead of a little mini van we got upgraded to a 12 passenger van like we have at home, hitting the am/pm at about midnight for a big jug of water and finally crawling into bed at the beautiful super 8 in anaheim, ca. for some much needed rest. ah, the rock and roll life...

now it's tuesday and we're waking up and getting ready to head to our first show of 2008 in california. we got up crazy early today because of the time change so that's why i've got some free time to give you this tour update. as you know i'm usually too busy doing nothing to post anything while on tour. so far this morning dave, jim and i hit the super 8 free complimentary breakfast room for some toast and coffee. it was pretty good. the room was packed with kids getting ready to go to disneyland though so it was a little crazy. i wanted to just join 'em and spend the day there but at $66 it's a little steep for today. oh well. some other day. we also watched scooby doo which was awesome. they actually snowboarded on the episode and both shaggy and scooby we're pulling off some wicked moves on the slopes. i don't recall them doing that back in the day but maybe this is a modern updated scooby show. looked good! now we're watching "a pup named scooby" or something like that. it's not as good but i'm pretty old school. *update - since it seems we're watching the all scooby channel we're now being treated to another new scooby show entitled "what's new scooby doo. the theme sounded extremely modern in a pop punk sorta way and with a quick google i discovered that it was none other than simple plan who performed it. weird.

i'm gonna try and figure a way to incorporate pictures into this without having to plug in and resize photos all the time. i might try to use my phone and send the pictures via bluetooth to the computer. then they'll also be small and i won't have to resize them!

that's it for now. gonna take a shower, shave and look forward to an upcoming burrito or something for lunch. i'll try and keep up with this cause i know you all care.
