Instrumentos solos 2009, First week
Well, as you may already know, I'm posting here recordings, pictures and little reviews on what is going on in "Instrumentos solos"
We had a few problems with the live broadcasting the first day (April 15th) but later on it worked perfectly. What never seems to work are links posted in this blog... I really don't know why Tom doesn't like these links. So, if you want to see the broadcast, or past videos, just go to:
www.cceba.org.aror
www.reverbnation.com/martindevotoYou'll see there the same screen that is in the Myspace blog. The difference is that they work! You'll have to click on it.
And, of course, if Tom still doesn't like these link please type the text on your browser's bar.
OK. Here we go.
Wednesday April 15th
Workshop by Santiago Santero, composer
The meeting was organized in two parts. The first one was centered in the Ensemble work "..y...y...y", which was a kind of starting point to talk about his aesthetical world and composition procedures.
In the second part, "Aliento" for flute and vibes was performed. Score in hand; Santero explained clearly the processes involved in writing the piece, problems that emerged and how he solved them. As often in this kind of workshops, the piece was heard again by Patricia Da Dalt and Bruno Lo bianco.
Thursday April 16th
Open workshop by Margarita Fernández: The flute's mythical lineage
After listening to Ponderation mysterieuse, by Luis Mucillo, Margarita started her exposition. Mythical legends about the beginning of music were related to pieces of Saturday's program, what led the attendance rediscover and think about the flute itself, the flutist and the works played. Cassandra's dream song was spectacular end of the meeting.
Saturday April 18th
Concert by Patricia Da Dalt
Here you have the concert program, the recording and the press review.
