Instrumentos solos 2009, Second week
As you may have checked, the live broadcasting worked perfectly. I know that the video is in very low resolution, but the audio is quite acceptable. If you click on the screen, you can go to the channel and watch past events.
Anyway, recordings posted here sound much better. You can hear them at the end of this blog.

Workshop by David Nuñez. Wednesday April 22nd.
The violinist played Berio's Sequenza without any kind of introduction. Then a colloquial meeting started, facing different kind of questions that emerge from modern music's interpretation. Different techniques invite the player to search for different solutions, but it is always essential that the text keeps it musical sense.
You can watch the workshop in the screen down here

Open workshop by Gabriel Valverde, Thursday April 23rd
The composer introduced his work Shine, for amplified violin, which would be created following Saturday at David Nuñez's concert.
As you may have guessed from its title, the starting point for this piece is "Shine on you crazy diamond", by Pink Floyd. The composer not only kept unaltered some materials from the price, but he also imitated the management of time from it. He finds this is the point in music composition. Anyway this work must never be understood as a "tribute". One must say that the resulting music sounds completely different and original.
You can watch the complete workshop in the screen down here.

Concert. David Nuñez, violin. Saturday April 25th.I really find that any word is out of place. Just want to tell that Mikka S by Xenakis is played with a baroque bow (the result is unbelievable) And you can seldom here pieces by Estrada or Nunes here in Buenos Aires

Till next week.
Hope you enjoyed it!
