I get so many requests about Quickstar Productions that I just cant answer most of them.
The last time I responded to another artist he copped an attitude with me because I alledgedly didnt elaborate enough, so that obviously left a bad taste in my mouth. So all of you artists looking for info heres my take on Quickstar:

I have a digital distribution deal with them. Which means they take care of distributing my music to several online stores (itunes, napster, etc). I have also been on their compilation CDs in the past, but I have had a different business arrangement with them which because of privacy reasons I will not share here. Therefore I cant really speak to the success of the comp cds only because I dont follow them up. I do know that if you are a band starting off its a good way to get on a recording, distribute that to your fans and friends, and possibly get heard by other artists fans and friends.

I have found the crew at Quickstar to be great people. They are musicians and avid music lovers and supporters. They started their company from scratch and have really successfully grown in a short period of time. In addition they always strike me as really loving what they are doing. Like anyone they are not perfect but Im sure youll see that they are very professional, take time to listen to the artists concerns, and willing to help the best they can. Thats been my experience.

My advice is that if you are in doubt, get your questions together, pick up the phone and call them. One of them Im sure will take the time to answer any questions you have to the best of their ability.

I dont mean to sound rude, but because of time constraints I just cant answer everyones questions about this. So please dont write. Hopefully this blog entry will give you enough insight on my take to proceed forward.
