For those of you who actually care or are simply wondering what the hell is going on with Hostel Inc., here it goes. Most of you know that our singer Ray West has pursued a solo career with his very own band All Points West. Something that Ray's been wanting to do even before we started Hostel Inc. Some might say that Ray should've used the guys from Hostel to play as his solo band. Trust me, we've tried that and it just got too confusing when it came to Hostel Inc. gigs and Ray West gigs. We love Ray and wish him the best with everything as he will always be our brother. As our bros from Black Water Rising put it,"Brother Go On"!
For the past few months, Chigger, Dennis, and Jeff tried to hold it together and audition singers to at least continue Hostel Inc. as a cover band to make money to pay the rent. Jeff ended up playing some gigs in the AC/DC tribute Stiff Upper Lip, which ended rather quickly. In came Jamez Bennet, Chigger's former Smoke Star singer, who sounded great on the covers that Hostel was covering. Almost three sets ready to go and start gigging when Diamond Dennis got a call from a band in Florida to audition. Needless to say, Dennis got the gig and is now on tour on Cruefest playing the Monster Energy stage with a band called 16 Second Stare. Check them out at myspace.com/16secondstare.
Chigger was also asked to audition about a month ago for a band called Mean Venus. After four rehearsals, Chigger got the gig and recently played The Stone Pony with Over The Rainbow featuring Joe Lynn Turner. Also, since Chigger has rehashed things with his former Smoke Star singer Jamez Bennett and guitarist Steve Ladd, let's just say, you never know what the future holds!
As of now, Jeff Hardee, our hard hitting madman is a free agent, but he shouldn't be for long! Jeff is an excellent showman and an all around rock drummer! If you're looking for a drummer hit Jeff up on his myspace or send a message over here and it will be forwarded to him!
We just want to thank everyone who supported us for the past two years from Ding Batz to Dexter's to Lady Ace to Chris Marksbury to all of our boys in Massachusetts to all of our buds in bands like Black Water Rising, Diablo Royale, Split Vision, Bled for Glory, Piston Driven, the list goes on and on! We thank you so much! It's so hard to let something that was so fun go, but this has to be done. You never know, there may be a surprise show here and there. It depends where Ray, Chigger, Jeff and Dennis are at the particular moment!
