Just an FYI on my latest novel, Rogelia's House of Magic. This book is for 11 and up. The protagonists are 15. The focus is on friendship and personal empowerment, which is really important as people enter the puberty stage. (No sex or drinking. I'm still a traditionalist and I don't think those things should be in ya books).  The book was chosen by Las Comadres, a national bookclub of women (12,000). I've been to 3 booksignings this week. The women are opening their eyes to realms of magic and potentiality they never saw. Its really cool. So if you are so inclined to have a couple of friends read the book, I'd be happy to meet with you at a bookstore in southern California to discuss it afterwards. Or we can have a chat online... Well, I'm twice (at least) the age of the protagonists, my two daughters and I enjoyed the book, it was a gentle reminder on what is important in our lives, and what is-not so much...It was also a look back on friendships, first love, and the security of family and culture...not bad, finding all this in one book!
