A superb debut album from The Quarter Mile Combo.  This 4-piece from California is led by excellent vocalist Nettie Hammer - she really does have one of the best voices in Rockabilly.  The sound is Modern Rockabilly, with clear up-to-date recording which goes against the current trend of bands trying to recreate the 50s sound.  The rhythms though are purely rockin', and the songs are all Quarter Mile Combo originals.  All-in-all, this is a strong, solid first album from an original band who put their own stamp onto the Rockabilly sound.  Recommended.
