Category: Religion and Philosophy

Continuing with the 101 reasons why Jews do not beleive in Jesus as our moshia or divine.

This is one of the several inconsistencies of stories in the Christian scriptures.  Lets called Egypt vs. the Temple for simplicity.  The book of Mathew, Chapter 2, tells that the parents of Jesus goes to Egypt to escaping the killing of the children by Herod while again Luke give another story.  Luke chapter 2 tells that Jesus was presented at the Temple, at the 8 day.

Question who is truth?  Mathew or Luke, or neither?

Another very important detail, G_d has nothing to do with magicians, pagan worshipers, so how come that these men came to worship him?

Until next one,

Moshe

I will agree with you that Christianity seems a bit confusing, I myself being raised by two,Christian parents, have had a difficult time sorting threw the dogma, to find any truth! I have constantly wondered why the confusion, and have simply come to the conclusion that if God wasn't in the middle of it all, we as a human race would have killed each other off a while back, prejudice is a terrible thing! .... Having said that , I would like to point out one thing, could the Jewish state even exist without the Christians?..I hardly think so, with out the financial support of the Zionist Christians who believe that their messiah will come, some day, to rescue the Jews from the anti Christ....But perhaps all that is truly needed is for the Jews to be rescued from the Christians,LOL,......Or perhaps the messiah will come to rescue the Christians from the "fiat" "dept based" system of unequal weights and measures , that is financing the whole gig!.. and the burden of dept that they are under!..isn't there something about a jubile...I myself being guilty of the same ask,..why is it,.that we tend to tear down others believe systems that are unlike our own, without offering something better?..perhaps there is none, { better } but that we all hold a piece of the puzzel, and prejudice keeps us from seeing the entire picture!

Shalom Thor,

Many thanks for your letter and presenting your opinion. I do have a similar question to you: Will the Christians exist without the Jews? Does Jesus wasn't a Jew. Having said that I need to remind you that we do exist because the Almighty keep us alive. Esau, who is Edom, who are the Christians was suppose to support his brother Yakov... but he turned against him.

USA was founded by religious people, very good people with a high respect to God and the Bible. USA was founded with Biblical principles and due to that receive so many blessings. Its sad to say that eventually this will change and ALL the nations will go aainst Israel (Gog U Magog) but Israel will be protected by the Living G_d of Israel, the Almighty and ALL Powerful G_d of Israel.

We do exist because the mercy of the Almighty... and the Almighty bless those who help us out, Genesis 12:3. Its a blessing for the Christians to help us, and we do appreciate that.

Having said that... we need NOT to forget that it was also the Christians, who persecuted us during the Inquisition (forcing us to become Christians or die), who killed millions of Jews during the Holocaust (by the teaching of the most protestant leader, Martin Luther). I do bring for the christians, what Paul tried to teach them... DO NOT be arrogant, you are just a piece of wild branch inserted on the blessed tree of Israel... DO NOT think that you are better than us... and try to force us to become christians.

We are not forcing you to be Jew, you do not need to be a jew to be save, but be humble to understand that your scriptures have a lot of mistakes and errors and do not force us that you have the truth, because its not truth.

These days a good amount of Christians are waking up with a lot of love to Israel. We do appreciate that deep in our hearts. We want to be friends but there is a lot of "missionaries" trying to impress the Jews with Jesus as moshia. Jesus was a good man, but his teaching were distorted by the Church... and his name used to persecute and kill million of us.

In conclusion, we can not forget because it will be repeated. If my words are hard, think about all the blood of the saints.

Pls. do make the Christian error of saying that the New Testament is Christian. It is not. The entire Bible as I know it, from the Book of Genesis to the Book of Revelation is Jewish. They all belong to Israel. One of the chief reason why gentiles becomes so confused when reading the Bible is beacause they tend to read it with gentile-christian mindsets. It's like Russian trying to interpret American history with Russian context. All the American patriots would have been idenitfied as traitors to Russia by way of example. All the epistles were addressed to Jewish Synagogues in the Mediterranean. To a jew like Shaul of Tarsus and Yochanan of the Revelation the word ekklessia would have mean a shul or a synagogue not a church. The" THE EKKLESSIA" would have mean "THE CONGREGATION". And to any Jew, of ancient or of modern times the "THE CONGREGATION" is none other than Israel. This is like asking an American what is the "THE NATION", "THE PEOPLE", "THE COUNTRY", "THE LAND". His answer? The U.S.A. Give me the same query, and i would reply: Australia. Ask Senator Santiago of the Philippines? And her reply would be: The Philippines.
So, why can't christians apply the same context and rules of definition to the words of an Elder of the Congregation of Israel like Shaul (Paul), Yokanan(John), Ya'akov(James) and Kefa (Peter). In fact, as far as the Maschiach of Israel is concern, the "THE CONGREGATION" is none other than Israel. I've got a blog on this BTW.

Thank you for your response,.. To beguine with, and to clarify my position I would not consider myself a Christian...I do believe In the Creator , whatever name you and others may like to put upon him, I am sure he does not mind nor do I .Faithful and true, and the way, and the life, are a few synonyms that are appropriate, but what is most important to the Creator is not so much what you call him, but whether or not you follow the directions!..Every creature upon the earth has a porpoise, not all the same, but all have been given instruction...The quality of life, one lives is determined upon how well every creature follows his commands!..Let us not look at, whether one is Jew or Gentile, but whether one errors at law,all have sinned, but the Creator protects his own, and he knows them by their actions,I am getting tired of hearing about the enemy, when I know good and well "enemy's" are created by man, PEACE is created by the TRUTH..!

Good day,

Very well said. May Hashem continue giving you wisdom... simple rules as you presented are very good guidelines (Noahide Laws) for life and life in peace. We look forward to the day that all humanity reach the wisdom you got.

That is why we do recognize all religions as good as long they do not attempt to kill others who do not think likewise.

In Shalom,

Moshe

Yeshuah was presented to the Temple 4 His circumcision. If Yeshua was born on a High Shabbat (Feast of Tabernacles ), then His day of Circumcision also coincided with the last day of this 8 day festival. When Herod targeted the baby CEO 4 destruction, he chose the children of a certain age group that were no longer infants. The Jewish wise Men from the East would have taken them weeks to travel to Eretz Israel. Also, it is not really written that their arrival coincided with the day of birth. BTW, the so-called wise men could not have been gentiles. Wisdom is define in the Scriptures as the fear of the L-D. Fear of the L-D is only possible if you are aware of the G-D of Israel and His commandments. To be wise therefore is to immerse yourself in the Commandments and Statutes of the G-D of Israel, something that the magi of Persia and Babylon were not. Indulging in magic is simply not so smart to Hashem. Also, the adherents of the eastern religions have no business with the coming CEO of Israel. The majority of the Jewish exiles at this time were in the lands east of Eretz Israel.

Shalom Joel,
You have to go back to your Bible to read Mathew 2:1-13 and Luke 2:1-40. Mathew relates the magis (which you agree were astrologers) visit when Jesus born in Bethlejem... the magis showed up and the angels tells Yosef (v, 14) to go to Egypt, and then he returns years later to the city of Nazaret. The other, Luke tells that he went to the Temple and afterward went to Nazaret, v39... without mentioning at all the trip to Egypt.

My friend, many apologists has try to justify these "incongruent" stories... without success.

Take for example the story about his resurection and you will see 4 diferent stories. This shows clearly there is no "divine inspiration" in neither of their authors... this is just part of the reasons we do not take these books as "kosher" or inspired; and we do not believe in Jesus as our moshia.

What you know about Judaism via Jesus is not Judaism but Greek Mithology adopted to a character in Israel.

May the God of our forefathers be with you and give you wisdom,

Moshe

While my main concern is fellow Jews, I would like to point out that many Christians ended up in concentration camps during Hiltler's regime, but this is a fact that is rarely mentioned. Many Christians and Jews have been persecuted side by side over the years, but when history is relayed, Jews tend to overlook the persecution of Christians and Christians often overlook the persecution of Jews. What we need to avoid is another Christian religious political power, which we are fast headed towards, which from our records of history points to any such power persecuting Jews and any Christian, religious, or Athiest persons who will not adhere to their dictates of religion.

Shalom Gabriel,

Many is not millions, but yes it is true, the "J" Witnesses (who are not considered Christians by many christians) went to Concentration Camps, as it was homsexuals or any one that will look different within the Nazi Nation.

Now, we do know there were christians that help Jews to escape, or protect them until the end of the war, and to those we deeply thanks because they did their part and were in the "light" and not in the "darkness".

As today, Christians as Jews are persecuted in many arab nations, Lebanon, by Muslim terrorists. There are many churches burned by the intolerance of the Muslims. We do not applause those activities.

On the other hand there are still churches, like the SDA, that commit the irresponsable crime, as the Catholic Inquisitors of Spain, to "convert" ignorant Jews into Christianity.

The SDA as other "missionary" churches are ignorants in relation to the Jews way of salvation and they do not even understand their own books. Whoever get involved in "converting" Jews is working against the Almighty; its a crime to take Jews out of the worship to the Only God to worship a greek human god. Its idolatry Exodus 20:3. Whoever makes someone to become idolater will go to hell. I feel very sorry for the life of these modern ministers of the Inquisition. They need to repent and to know the God of Israel and change their ways.

Jesus was clear when he said "you do not know to whom you worship, salvation come from the Jews", John 4:22. God still and forever love the Jews as Paul declared clearly in Roman 11:1.

May HaShem has mercy on them and open their eyes to stop their crimes.

Moshe
