Current mood:  blissful

just talking about last weekend and amazed at how everyone had such different experiences. so would like to compile a selection of everybody’s ’best of’’ moments to put on the site. mine so far (and i promise to keep it short but may add more later):

watching the fire jugglers on a snow covered beach under a full moon shining on a black sea.

waking up to all that snow - magical

the snow duck incident

laughing so hard that i got a stitch

the people i met who are my new family now.

ok your turn now.............

yammezz
Jamie Anderson

I reserve the right to amend or add to this list...

Amazing variety of music

The Optic Nerves duo

Hokie Joint on Saturday

the way it all went without a hitch, bands turned up, set up and played

I get a buzz mixing one band, you can't imagine what I got out of doing over 20!!

All the brilliant new people I met

that'll do for now...

Jamie

Sharon Loud here. One of my best bits was having a " Selector" in the form of one of my fave new friends, Arab Neil. He chose some excellent tracks from the MyChoonz large and varied stock of CDs for me to play, and it was a real treat to not have to think for a while, and listen to some top new stuff. I thank you Neil for having great taste. Also, massive appreciation for Mrs Choonz(Iona), who saved our lives with numerous cups of tea, and kept peoples brains from freezing with her funky as f..k hats. Fave bands, The A>Cs and Hotwired for their outstanding swearing, and good to see Dave from the latter showing the yoofs how to wear a pair of trousers! Deferred Sucess and Hokie Joint, also superb, the latter reminding us all that the Blues, when performed as Brilliantly as this, is still a wonderful thing. Lastly I'd like to thank John the Storyteller for delighting Lesley and I with a lovely tale just for us in booking in. Oh yeah, one more thing, the young lad who had his lovely long hair cut off as a tribute to his best mate who has lost his thru Chemo, the House of Loud salute you and wish your pal all the very best. So generally speaking, outstanding weekend, can't wait to do it all again next year, all the best and much love, Sharon x

Where on earth do I start?
It was an amazing weekend!!!!!!!!!
I think the best bits were meeting some of the loveliest people walking this earth! (Sharon, Phil, Lesley, Rusty - to name but a few)
Being able to enjoy some amazing live tunes 1st hand.
Watching Jess behaving like the loon he really is - chasing the lights around the hall.
Having Stanley visit us in the awning and leaving his paw print marks.
Seeing people wearing my hats hehehehehehe
Watching my kids smile like it had gone out of fashion!
Waking upto snow on easter day...........
Boy oh Boy it will have been an easter weekend that memories will not fade!

I so can't wait for next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

love to you all xxxxxxx

firstly, many apologies for the tardiness of my comments......

Had a great weekend - the weather was only on the outside after all. Saw many great bands to add to my evergrowing list of "likes" and met many fine folk too - didn't realise that there are so many like minded and generous people about.

Best bits?

Hokie Joint must rate at the top of the bands, just displacing the Newtown Kings.

Oh, and having to deposit 4 dvcams so that I could "dance" (term applied loosely there) to Urban Guerilla - and then have to return to perform for assassins - I blame it all on those fine Ministry of Loud folk.....

and as for experiencing snow at a festival - definitely a first there.......

And of course, looking forward to doing it all again next year.

i am one of the lucky folx who is still experiencing the Cosmic Puffin in the form of video editing.
it's fantastic to see again the way that all the folks there rllied around to make it the sucxess it was.
discovering hat many of the bands went on despite several of their line-up not being there shows the true spirit of the puffin cosmicnauts.
i was moved by the amount of money that was raised despite a low turnout of folks, but PLEASE to anyone who is reading this, DON'T THINK IT'S OVER!!!!
donations are still being requested via this myspace page AND on www.cosmicpuffin.co.uk

with 6 videos from the gig for you all to enjoy your favourite bits over and over, and with plenty more on the way soon, PLEASE REMEMBER to USE THE DONATE NOW BUTTON, even if you gave at the festival.

let's not forget that amongst the fond memories and fun times there's a very serious reason for this all to take place.
