Hey guys,
It's time for a new blog cuz it's been a while. In september 1999 Straightaway was born around Digo, Saul and myself. Many songs (some released but most never recorded), a lot of shows, memories and bassists later here we are celebrating our ten year anniversary even though Saul left not that long ago. We've been focusing a lot more on writing our new album than finding a new guitar player but we're definitely gonna take care of that issue now the album is almost finished. We've had a lot of requests regarding the new guitarist, surprisingly a lot of foreigners which is really cool. It's pretty incredible to see people ready to move out to a different country to play in our band and that definitely means a lot to us. We've had a few auditions and I wanna take this opportunity to say a big thank you to our friend Coire who flew out all the way from San Diego to Paris to make a try ! That's really insane, thanks man !
Anyway we've decided we'd see as many guitarists as possible before making a decision so feel free to apply if you feel like it. As I stated earlier the songs for the new album are almost ready and we couldn't be any prouder of the new stuff. Our website which was not working properly for sometime is back online. We'll make a few changes and will refresh the design as well asap. Check it out I mean it's cool to have a myspace but I think it's important for a band to keep its own website.
We'll post 4 tabs very soon for guitar players willing to apply but also musicians who'd like to play some of our songs. They'll include bass, guitars and drums and will be in guitar pro format. If there's a special song you'd like us to tab let us know and we'll see if we can work it out for you depending on the requests we get. You'll hear a lot more from us from now on and will get more news on the progress of the new record. Happy birthday to Straightaway and take care y'all !
