Drudkh seems to be from the word 'dru' (or 'daru') wich means 'wood'/'tree' in romanized Sanskrit. But there is no sequence like 'dkh' in Sanskrit so the exact meaning remains unrevealed.

Sanskrit is an Indo-Iranian language from the Indo-European branch spoken by ancient asian cultures, including Balto-Slavic cultures.

Another type of Sanskrit

It is, specifically, an Indo-Aryan language born in Mesopotamia around 1500 BC (before christ), and has NOTHING to do with the 20th century Aryan term developped while WWII.
Persians are the first people to have used the term Aryan, Aryan is now adopted by linguists and ethnologists to refer to the Indo-Iranian people and to the Indo-European speakers.
Sanskrit is not native to india, documents relating to the Aryan kings of Mitanni suggests that the Vedic Aryans entered the Indian subcontinent from Northeast Iran and Central Asia in the second millennium BC.
They were warriors and nomades, and they quickly dominated the local Dravidian population (an older population then Aryans) forcing them to move to south of India.
Dravidian (or 'Tamils') people speak 'Tamil', it's a language older then Sanskrit.

As the Swastika, the oldest Aryan symbol, it has nothing to do with WWII's use.

Traditional Swastika on a stone, it is the one printed on Drudkh's 'Autumn Aurora' cd

It is absolutely personal to make the connection between the old and modern symbolism, I personally don't, I am not Roman Saenko to argue about that, and he has never given any interview.

There are no signs of nsbm on Drudkh's discography.
DRUDKH PRAISE INDIVIDUALISM, SELF-IMPROVEMENT AND ESTRANGEMENT FROM MODERN VALUES.

Artwork is totally inspired by Nature and Ukrainian legends, lyrics by Heathen poetry and Slavic mythology.

Thank you,
Heathen Regards.
